Why Discuss Medical Job Motivation?

Studies show that in America alone, there are 580,000 people working in the medical field. It is not surprising that many are choosing to take on the health industry especially for developing countries like the Philippines. It had become a major industry and source of financial stability. Since there is a steady increase in the number of employees under this industry, therefore, it is deemed most necessary to give importance to their work productivity.

Productivity doesn’t come from all employees because not everyone has the same reason or “motive” why they are to live out the life of this industry. Some even worked for the sake of earning and not for personal satisfaction. In other words, even the outcomes of their tasks are affected. This results to mediocrity and a second-rate service to the mass which also creates a domino effect in the country’s capability in the health industry. The author, therefore, aims to explore the band-aid solution that prevents mediocrity through “motivation.”
